National Forestry Program Policy and Consultation Roundtables
The Policy and Consultation Roundtables were created in the context of the implementation of the National Forestry Program (now the National Forestry Policy) and aim to promote local socioeconomic development through actions consistent with Guatemala's forestry strategy. There are eight roundtables, one for each forest region, and they are made up of representatives from the government, local authorities, civil society and private companies. This initiative aims to promote dialogue among stakeholders to define regional forestry agendas, propose solutions, implement actions and formulate forestry policies.
