Parent Organizations' Temporary Emergency Measure for COVID-19
The "Temporary Emergency Measure for COVID-19" was implemented by the Ministry of Education (Mineduc) of Guatemala in order to avoid the suspension of school meals during the quarantine. The Mineduc temporarily transferred to the Parent Organizations (OPF) the power to manage the purchase and distribution of food for students. The OPFs will directly receive cash transfers from the Mineduc to serve as temporary emergency management committees to distribute food rations to primary school students.
