Technical Tables for the Proposal of the Public Policy "Worthy and Transformative Reparations in Cases of Sexual Violence, Forced Pregnancy and Forced Maternity of Girls and Adolescents and its Action Plan"

The public policy proposal "Worthy and Transformative Reparations in Cases of Sexual Violence, Forced Pregnancy and Forced Maternity of Girls and Adolescents and its Action Plan" was the result of six working tables in which representatives from public institutions and civil society were present. This participatory space was created with the aim of guaranteeing ?through a concrete public policy- the necessary care for girls and teenagers victims of sexual violence. The technical working tables included a deliberative process in which the participants discussed topics related to protective, remediation and care measures. The initiative also developed workshops, forums and meetings which were led by a multidisciplinary team from the civil society. After the creation of this public policy proposal, in 2018 a law initiative was presented to Congress, which included the decriminalization of abortion for girls younger than 14 years old that were victims of sexual violence.
